I'm planning to upgrade my headlights. Since brighter = beter road vision, and I've looked up on ebay for H4 HID kits (6000k series): H4 HID Kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-conversion-kit-6000k-9004-9005-9006-9007-H11-H7-H4_W0QQitemZ7998767148QQcategoryZ33710QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem). So how is the installation for HIDs? Will the kit fit with our flip-ups?

Is this everything I'll need for install?

Plus, will projectors help any?

mine stockers are bright but i'd put those in if they were brighter... plus they wouldn't get dirty or go yellow like most cars because of the flip ups.....

Post more information about the HID kit that you are looking at buying. Or just add a link to where you're wanting to buy them from. W/O that I can't tell you if they will work or if it comes w/ everything that you need. The projector housings are not absouletly necissary but they do help give an even light spread. You can add the bulb inside an H4 housing but usually it won't spread the light as evenly. If you can post up some more info I'll try to help you some more.

We'll I have some news for you. $219 is much too cheap for a high quality H.I.D. kit unless you have mad hook ups. Also, from all the many threads/articles I've read at hidplanet you really should go with name brands when buying kits. Kinda like the saying spend a lot now or spend a whole lot more later fixing your car when a crappy ballast and wiring harness burned your car up. The brands suggested to me were always Xenon, Hella, and one more that I have forgotten. I have a friend that is a distributor for Xenon if you would like me to ask him pricing for you, it wouldn't be a problem. Also, they will work with the accord as long as you have a housing that will accept H4 or what ever bulb type of your choosing like what you first posted. Also, in regards to the 6000k. That's fine it honestly all depends on what kind of light you are looking for. If you want light that is so amazingly white but, doesn't have that whole HID blue tint then that would be about the level you want. If you are wanting that blue or purple tint then you are gonna have to bump that level up. Or if you would prefer the JDM yellow HID look you'll have to go down. Hope this helps. PM me if you would like me to ask my friend.

w00t w00t is right, u shouldnt get hid for less than 400 realistically.

also even the nice high end ones will have mad glare, and will not have a good cut off. its just a straight shot right out the headlight. :(

so even the "good" setup will blow... i did a bit of research, and im probably gonna go with some nice housings, and some baller $80 piaa h4 bulbs and call it a day. although i will probably upgrade my wiring harness while i am at it.

also with HID u will only get low beams, but i think that was already mentioned in this thread.

If anybody truely is interested, I can make a set of dropins with real OEM HID projectors and OEM HID hardware. I have the parts lying around. I was going to do it for my hatch but I just got a brand new mazda 3. It'll be lowbeam only of course and I would expect the price to be around $550 for the whole set.

that is not great at all... Those Halogen projectors is cheap and have no RnD related to getting the best output. Adding those plug n play hids will probably product more glare than anything.

I researched pretty hard too like Bobafett but I called it a day and bought Hella housings for 100bucks or so and used stock silverstars and the night output was tremendously changed already. It has better output than many newer cars today. :D
