I'm thinking of taking the cat outta my accord, I have a 2 1/4 inch catback with a magnaflow canister muffler, will it be really loud without the cat or the same!

do it tose that peice of gook junk into the crusher pile, then, give it a strait pipe, they sound so choice, thats what i run.

just make sure you wont get busted for not having the required smog equipment. its a fatty fine in most states if you dont have a cat.

im running no cat right now and it isnt that loud till i reach the 5-6k rpms (well not that loud for my self.i cut the cat and then at ceekay they sell 6 ft pices if flex piping and me being so lazy i used that instead of straint pipe and bends. it sounds good i think but we all have diff tastes.

heres what i think. if you like a quiet ride than keep your cat.if you want to gain a couple more hp and noise isnt an issue than rip it off and you get a nice sounding exhaust and the hp gain. the only prob is if you dont have any ppl to do the emissions test that'll pass ya you should just have a pipe that you can replace when your going for your emissions test.also not every city in everystate has an emissions. we just started it where i live about a year or two ago.

You can smell a car's exhaust and tell if it has a converter or not most of the time.

I've got a magnaflow highflow cat it actually runs about the same as it did with a "test pipe" just a quieter and deeper sound.

I have no cat on my Accord with 2 1/2 Exhaust and a magnaflow yes i Loud But you get more power with out it you can feel the difference with the Cat.So it up to you if you want to put up with it being LOUD.
