Just bought a nifty little item called "Wheel Mates," circular pieces of phenolic. I don't know if they "center" the wheel or make wheel changing any easier or safer, as the manufacturer claims; I painted one side to alleviate the glaring look of the extra holes in my Rotas. Looks a little cleaner I think. They're $20 for four. Here's a link if you're inclined.

if you've ever had a wheel rust to your rotor, you'd see that stuff like this works

its functional. It just prevents your rim from sticking to the hub. Usually a kick to the wheel will do the trick though... :P

i've had to use hammers, damn near pull the car on top of me, and use a pry bar before. not a pretty sight.

you know i've had wheels stick before too, ... but i'd rather have a 2 in one like Wheels spacers! they put your wheels out farther and keep it from sticking to the brakes... i like how 3geez look lowered with the wheels farther out than the fender, especially since putting spacers on can let you have a fatter wheel.

Hmm never heard of those before... I might invest in a set myself. Its nice that they are functional and they also clean your wheel up a bit.

why not just cut a 2 cent piece of cardboard. paint it and stick it between your rim and the rotor.

Phenolic is a hardened resin material that won't break down when exposed to the elements.

i think those would make it a whole lot easier to change the wheels. if you dont change your wheels real often, they tend to get nice and stuck by way of rust on the rotor or drum. i change out my wheels every few months or so. and i have aluminium wheels now so i dont use my steelies much. but those would be great for when my wheels do get stuck on the car. i'll have to check those out.

They fit our cars, and they're cheap, a great way to set your rims out farther... 5/16" farther ENJOY!
