Be sure to check valve clearances with engine stone cold.

Hey POS, why did you decide to run yours closer? You'll get that extra hair's width of valve travel, but I can't think of any other advantage (if that even is one). I just did mine a few weeks ago and am wondering why you decided to do something other that Honda's specs.

I set mine to .005 and .009 after installing the cam from Colt. It's actually whatever keeps the valves from ticking and the rockers from slapping. That's probably why Honda gives such a broad range.

I was told at one point from a pretty reliable Honda mechanic that if you adjust them tight enough to have NO noise they are too tight. You should hear a slight "sewing machine" sound from the valve train. I have a set of "go-no-go" feeler gauges. There are both .005-.007 and .010-.012 in the set. I found these easier to use than the standard feeler gauges.
