View Full Version : Removing Air Cleaner housing and vacuum lines

The throttle cable seems a little sticky. Sometimes, I have to pull the gas peddle back for it to be idling correctly at a stop sign. I plan to clean the throttle linkage or maybe replace the throttle cable (the outer rubber has several tear and rusts start to accumulate there). All these require the removal of the air cleaner housing.

I tried to remove it, but there seem to be several vacuum lines connected to it underneath. Could you experts let me know what I should pay close attention? I don't want to mess up the vacuum lines.

By the way, the vacuum lines are tightly connected. How should I take them off without breaking it? Should I buy vacuum lines just in case?

Thanks for your help.

The vacuum lines highlighted in yellow are the ones connected to the bottom of the air cleaner.
