I was thinking of getting a set of those reverse indgo gauges from procarparts. only 9.99$ :-) My question is though, has anyone else tried those yet? The picture gave me an uneasy feeling. Just wanting some opinions.

I got some and haven't had any problems with them. I would got ahead and get them since its only $10, Its not like it is a big loss if you don't like them.

they are pretty much just plug and play, only wires you hook up are to a power source (tap into a dash light source). then just plug the wires into the relay thing and place them over your original gauges (careful with the needles tho) and your ready to go.

you can make your own glow needles too. just pick up some clear ones from the junkyard, scrape off the color, and paint your color of choice on the underside.

then put a colored LED behind the center of the needle (attach it to the gauge), give it a power source, and unplug all the normal gauge lights.

that's what i did with my prelude once. it was the coolest lookin thing ever. i absolutely loved the way it looked, but unfortunately the gas and engine temp needles never worked right again... :(

yeah, i had the reverse glow gauges from the same company. they were tight. much better looking than the others, imo.

my needles had blue paint (so you could see them in the day, rather than trying to spot a clear needle...)
and i had blue LED's behind each needle. it looked sooooooooo sweet. but i decided i wanted to be able to read my fuel and temp accurately, so i went back to a stock cluster. :( someday i'll go back to reverse gauges, and get it working right.

i don't know why, but if you mess with those needles, eveything goes completely wrong...

KK, i probably will be buying a set in the near future then. The pictures gave me an uneasy feeling, plus the price was a little to cheap. It was one of those "to good to be true" moments. lol

I have reverse glows.
The dimmer went bad but you can just cut it off and it will be full-bright.
I think it looks better tho on the black (stock) bezel than on the brushed aluminum.
