Hey guys. I just bought wheels and tires off someone who I am friends with. Now, I payed 200 for all wheels and tires knowing that the two fronts needed to be replaced. My problem is, the tires in the back are 50's and they say they should be 45's. Is this a big problem? If I hit a bump, will they tear apart? Any help would be greatly appreciated because If I need 4 tires, ill just give them back and not pay. Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem
Check out this tire size calculator for future reference.

Thanks for your help. But, I just want to know if when I hit a bump, is the wheel well going to come down on the tire? If its not, i'm in good shape, but, thats what I am worried about.

I dont really understand what you are asking, if they are 50's they are taller than the 45's obviously, but by a bare amount. Whats the size of the wheels?

16's. Now, for 16's, tirerack recommends 45's and I have 50's. So, I've lost space between the tire and the well. I just think that on a bump, it will hit the car.

I have 195/60/14 on my car at stock ride height and i have no problems what so ever. That may be a different story after i lower my car, but im buying new tires soon anyway so o well. If worse comes to worse you MIGHT have to roll your fender, thats about it.

You are fine. You won't rub. Biggest problem is your speedo might be off 1 or 2 mph.
