i was recently going through my glove compartment looking for some papers and found my exhaust reciept, i was looking through it and i just noticed that instead of getting 2 1/4" piping i got 2" i called the guy up and asked wtf is up? i told him i wanted 2 1/4" and he told me that the price he had given me was for 2" and thats what i paid for :thumbdn: . anyways i want to know if i get it redone to 2 1/4" im going to feel any difference or is it just a waste of money :dunno:

oh and the mufflers a dynomax super turbo muffler

thanx

You should notice a difference, but it will be quieter at low RPMS.

I doubt it'll be worth it at all. You already have an exhaust done up, changing the size wont do much but shift the power around a little. Your best bet would be to spend that money on something else to make some power. Trust me

i think 2 inch is fine for these motors,if you go too big you start losing torque, and that you'l notice right away. 2 1/4 might be a little too big. with out my converter and other restrictions in the way, i went down to 1 3/4 and it works great, i have a lot of internal mods so i'm making a bit of horses, and it works great.

However I do have a header 2" collector into a 2.5" glasspack. Its fine for me. I didnt notice any torque loss, infact I gained tq/hp with the exhaust. My only other supporting mods are intake and ignition. I probably would have went with a 2.25" glass pack if they had it, but I just said whatever and bought the 2.5" one. Wont be worth the upgrade.

People have made good power with stock 1.75" exhaust, 2" is just fine.
