I heard that the spark plug seals might not fit properly. The B18A1 valve cover has the spark plug holes higher than the B20A so there is a gap between the head and the cover itself. (this is only rumors from preludepower.com) Just check everything to make sure they seal properly.

This is why i am going with the B18A ValaeCover take a good look at the pic's The Timing Cover Busted up Bad and no luck to get a replacement here in the US and the B18 is the closest thing to replacement http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/359000-359999/359877_131_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/359000-359999/359877_132_full.jpg

That was the first thing i checked it seals up nice and tight just like the B20A cover.

no trouble! It's almost easy to get a B20A here. but they are all automatic... almost all. So, it's easy to get spare parts. The point is that I need to buy the complet engine.

TWOLOUDNPROUD YOu dont have to have that cover on there, that would be more of a prefference thing. And L3G10N is there and abundance of B20a in canada? How does your junkyard system work up there?

we have a few yes. Almost all automatic. In fact, the only manual is for me and carotman :p But i can tell you that for now, in all the JDM shop, they have around 8 B20A accord.

What do you want to know about the junkyard system?

Timing belt covers are overrated. All you need is the bottom one to keep the water from splashing up from the road.

Depends on how you look at it. You COULD have bad luck and end up getting something from the engine bay or even have a small rock jump up in the enginebay and get caught between the cam and timing belt, making the belt skip a couple of teeth. bye bye valvetrain..
By then you'd probably feel pissed that you didnt get that timing cover replaced.

we dropped the motor in my friends integra with no top or bottom belt cover-and he had 6grand in the motor-YES if you hit something i guess it could happen-but its highly unlikely-if your going 2 leave the top off-its actually better just 2 go ahead and leave the bottom off too

If you have your bottom cover off too, I wouldnt consider it to be highly unlikely to happen at all. Unless you have PERFECT roads...

I've had my top cover off with the bottom cover on for the past year and a half and have had no problems. I'm sure it is possible but not very likely IMO.

Thats good to know for anybody looking for a b20. About the junkyards is it just like the USA where you go and pick the parts you want or is there soem other kind of system. The only reason I ask is cause is was almost impossible to find a junkyard when I visited Japan and I dident exactly know if there was anything special about canada.

Legend: For the junkyard, yeah, i can go and take what i want. For the B20A, i need to get the complet engine, not some parts. They are not into junkyard but into some JDM import shop.

TwoLoudnProud: Sorry, i had a big weekend to the final car show of the year in Montreal. I am responsible for the Quebec Accord Club, so it was an insane weekend. I'll try to go this week. If not, i can even sell you mine. Anyway, i'll get another one on the next B20A that i'll buy with Carotman.
