I bought them off of a guy here and he tells me the flat end goes up top (the end that can stand on its own). I've been told by other people that the larger gap in between springs goes up top. This would mean the flat end goes at the BOTTOM of the spring.

Thing is, the front's fit best with the flat end at the top, while the rears are opposite. This means that in the front the tight end goes up top and in the rear the tight end goes at the bottom.

Now, should i just mount them both with the flat end at the top, or should i do it the way people tell me and put the big gaps towards the top. OR should i just put it the way that seems to fit best?

I dont have the part that attatches to the top of the wheel well to put at the top of the strut and test with the whole thing together...

Advice would really be nice!

your struts should be grooved/channeled/layerd/offset on the cup for the spring so it sits in there tight.

The flat part (or tighter coiled part) always goes towards the top.

For sure? The rears seem to sit better when its the flat part towards the bottom.

100% positive.

h/o let me get a pic resized of my tockico with my intrax spring on it before it went in my car.

Doesnt really show how the springs sits in the cup, but notice the tighter wrapped coils towards the top

front strut

that last one shows how the springs should sit in the struts.

Wait, one more quesiton. On the rears, the tighter end is the end with the coil that just ends, while the wider end is the part that flattens out a bit and can stand on its own. Are you sure the flatter part of the rear goes to the bottom? I mean, it seems to fit best.. But i dont know..

what struts do you have? with tokicos or konis, i know for a fact halxi is right? if u are running a different strut i suppose it COUUUUULD be different, but i dont see why it would. and it certainly wouldnt change the fact that the top hat stlil wants the flatter side. :D

Well, if you look in those pictures, the side that can stand on its own for the rears is the side with the wider spacing. The fronts, however, are opposite.

So yeah. :\ BTW: Tokicos.
