Each person has different opinions on what they do and dont like. I didnt start a thread to be critisized, i did it so that i can show the progress i have made and the different things i can do to my car. Thats the whole point of the site isnt it?

Watch yourself, v3rs3. I hate to see new members getting banned.
:uh:
p.s. I custom fabricated STEEL z3 fenders, so I don't agree with your opinion. But you are intitled to your opinion.

Edit- I didn't see at first, but you shaved you doors. I'm wondering if there welded sheet metal in there now.

Niiiiice too bad they're not functional... but none the less i'd have a pair if they could be bought, my right side fender is crunched, due to a deer that was hit before i owned the car... dammit i love hitting deer!

They are able to be bought, i got mine from a small company called fatboy motorsports. I paid like $160 on ebay. I think im the first person to buy them because i bought them like the first hour they were for sale. There is a good amount of drilling and cutting that has to be done to make them fit though.

What method you take to shave them door moldings?

I just used body filler. IMO its a whole lot easier to mold it to the shape you want rather then weld metal over them and try to shape the metal. I just have to do the spot for the molding on the fenders and it will be done.

not to burst your bubble...buuut...some people on here have done them but i think they custom cut em themselves....yours are uber clean. kudos.

The thing I didn't like about the glass ones is the inserts are so far up on the fender. Just doesn't flow right to me.
But you know thats me.http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d45/3gn86lxi/PICT0298.jpg
See where I put mine, that flows better.

Well i just talked to a friend of mine who is going help me paint the car and i think were going to go to the paint supply store and get the paint in 2 weeks, so however long it takes to finish the bodywork and prep the car it will be painted. Im thinking it will be done in 3 weeks.

I've got those exact same ones from Fat Boy Motorsports. I just haven't put them on yet(no time, it's my daily driver). I like they way they look, and hopefully I can get them on soon with my Erebuni body kit. I'm also gonna shave the side moldings and blend the side skirts into the fenders.
Looks good, keep it up.

hey i got the same fenders from ebay just wondering did you fit them or have someone do it and if you did them did you have fitment issues for the driverside?

LiTtLe xOx BitT

I did them myself. There wasnt really any fitment issues, it just took a little time to get them lined up perfectly. And making the holes for the corner lights was a pain, but you just have to use a dremmel and take your time. I just got my paint yesterday for it, its impulse blue, its off the new 06 pontiac GTO.

i think i got a bad fender you know where the valley bout half way up is for the moldings mine are like a 1/2 inch off or so like too high all the rest lines up good

The driver side was a little harder to fit but it worked out good. I don't like the company at all. When i got my fenders a few months ago they were both broken, so i called and they said they will send for someone to come look at them n replace them within 30 days n i never herd anything so i fixed them myself.

where can i get some z3 fenders for an 89 accord need and ip address or phone number

LiTtLe xOx BitT

You can get them off ebay for like $160. But they dont come predrilled or anything else, so you have to drill your own bolt holes, drill the holes to mount the corner light, and a hole to mount the bumper bracket. If you don't know anything about body work i wouldn't recommend trying it yourself because if you make one little mistake you will ruin the fender unless you know how to use fiberglass and repair it. I see you only have a few posts, so in guessing your new to the 3gee. If your planning on doing the fenders im interested to hear what else you have planned. good luck.

LOL, All I had to do was bolt on my steel z3 fenders.:kekeke: And I paid alot less for my custom made fenders.

well accordrollingon18z, if im not mistaken i think 3gn86lxi makes and sells the Z-3 fenders and there wont be a problem to fit them either because all the mount holes are already there. So talk to him and find out if he will make you a set. That is the best thing for you to do if your not good at body work and it's a gaurenteed fit.
