Hi, I bought Honda Accord 2.0i-16 1988, B20A8 engine 166000km ( according to previous owner) . Since I can compare to my second Acco - A20A3 american verison EX-i , there are two things that really dissapointed me about B20A8
First - I expected more power ( 133 against 115hp) - the car can " drag" a lot but nothing under 4000rpm - the A20A3 is in range 1500-3500rpm WAY better.
Second - the car eats a lot of gas. My A20A3 takes 8,5litre/100km mixing city and highway, but the B20A8 takes about 10,5litre, which seems to be too much to me

I have been to Honda service, but they found no problem, all filters, plugs etc. brandnew.

Can anybody help where the problem could be ?
Thanx

The cat is clutted? running rich because of a dead O2 sensor? Does it smell like it's running rich?

So, it seems like it was a hole right at the beginning of the exhaust, causing the air beeing sucked back and O2 senzor giving bad info - the car running rich
