well today i was trying to take off the drum to replace the shoes and i couldnt get them off, i never did drums on a car (all the cars i had has disks all around). are there any bolts/screws holding them onto the spindle?????

i did a search and nothing popped up for how to...

ps i had the car in neutral w/ the p. brake off.

If the drum doesn't move at all (other than rorate), hit it with a mallet a few times. Once it's loose you'll fid out if the shoes are holding it on. The parking brake should be off.

The shoes wear down the insdie of the drum so there is a ridge of material behind the shoes. There is a little hole just below the cylinder on the back of the drum assembly. You use a screwdriver to turn the adjuster through the hole to pull the shoes in.
