hi, my right rear wheel cylinder from my 88 went the other day and i have no break pressure and i was wondering if i could use a left rear wheel cylinder off an 87...

i already know ppl are gonna ask y? dont i just use the right rear off the 87 but it had a similar fate . too me it looks like the wheel cylinders should be interchangable between sides.

post ur thoughs and info thanx sPaNkY

I dont know for sure, but call the part shops and see if they list different part numbers. My guess would be yes its okay, but call the shops first.

Boy that is a relief, I just put new ones on my new car, 88 LX, looked to me like you could either have the line on top or the bleeder on top, didn't seem to matter L or R, up or down.

Now I wonder if it makes a difference bleeding if the bleeder is up or down in relation to the brake line.

the bleeder should be pointed up to bleed them
also they are only $20 at the auto parts store
so whats the big deal?
also you can buy rebuild kits
