View Full Version : Delta 272 cam specs

What are the valve specs on the Delta 272 cam??? I got mine used with no spec sheet, I searched and have found .006 intake, and .008 exhaust. are these correct. We are installing it tomorrow, so I need to know.

I called up Delta, and the new ajustments were, .008 intake and .010 exhaust.

when did u call them ddude2uc?

on my delta 272 AND 282 cams they told me 6 and 8 cold.... and my shop called and verified i think...

8 and 10 seems like a stock valve lash

Nope, not my post. I know nothing about valve spacing and the like. Haha.

I want a Delta 272 though.. :)

Sorry, I just knew the name had "A" in it, & yours come to mind first. Had to dig the name up out the archives.



Which Delta cam did you go with? 260? 272? The vavle clearance will be different. The stock specs are something like, .010 on the intake and .012 on the exhaust. When I put my 260 on, I noticed a weird tapping sound as if I was low on oil. I called up Delta, and the new ajustments were, .008 intake and .010 exhaust.

yeah... probably looser specs cause its a lower duration cam? on all the longer duration cams they want .006 and .008 cold. :)
