youve been working on that for forever. did you trakc how long it took? congrats on its completion. love to see some vids of it runnning. should throw out a shout out to 3geez and say your user name so it doesnt get jacked by someone else in the future :)

lol stock muffler, well right there I know i did it just as planned. It's a 3" magnaflow. T3 turbo (turbine .48 a/r, 65trim) (compressor .42 a/r, 50 trim), 3" down pipe and exhaust. 2.5" charge pipes, 272 cam, OBD-1 swap and tuned with Chrome.

yea it did take me a long time 6 months build, including a lot of hasles of getting the OBD-1 up and running and waiting a month to get a new turbo. But working 70hrs a week I really only had one day a week to work on it.

Very wicked!!!!! realy nice car!
I think with T3 on A20a3 will make easy 220+ Flywheel hp running low boost 0.5bar.

Congarts Justin, keep us update about your project car.

any timeslips or dyno numbers yet? How much boost are you running? I have a bigger version of the turbo that you are running. Are you using a log manifold? Did you make it or had it made? I might upgrade to an external wastegate if i swap turbos to somthing bigger (not sure yet). Im real curious to see if the 272 cam helped or hurt you with the boost... that and how/what parts/how long did it take for the obd1 converison?

Justin86
11-05-2005, 11:46 AM
I did kind of a log just to keep it compact and simple for now. Yea like CT said it's all custom, I fab all my parts.

Yes that is Tasha, new and revised, well allways being revised. he he he

peak boost right now is 7psi at around 4000rpm and major tire slippage usally occurs around that point.

Right now I'm running a safe tune until I have some time to fine tune it on a non rainy day, it gets pretty out of control full boost at 60mph. Then I will strap it on to a dyno and see what she does when I have time, which could be a month or two.

hp wise I'm thinking around 180whp at 8psi seems to be the avg on a stock engine. Sean was pushing like 230whp on a built engine at 8psi.

I'll try to get some vid of it soon if I can find a camera man.

The OBD-1 swap isn't too hard except for mounting the dizzy.

good work. You used an accord dizzy... 90-93? Civic P06 ecu? Boost is addictive isnt it?

Justin86

yea 4g accord external dizzy with a teg p-75, p-06 is just as good. All the info is in the OBD-1 thread.

what do you mean by 4g external dizzy? the igniter is on the outside? ive read some things about converting to OBD1, but is it harder to hook up an external dizzy?

bobafett
11-05-2005, 03:06 PM
for us, it will be easier to hook up exterinal coil dizzy, since our cars came stock with external coil! :)

Justin Real Nice car just awesome love you're turbo set up

Justin86
11-05-2005, 03:19 PM
yea external dizzy mean it has an external coil. 90-91 accords came with an internal coil that were prone to messing up the $100 ignition module(ignitor)

nice, cool to see another turbo 3g. One thing you should change is that 2 stage IM, it juggles balls. get the aebs typhoon, I can almost guarantee it will put a grin on your face the first time you bounce off the rev limit.

You heard anything about the neptune rtp? I'll probably get that, but I hear CromePro + the moates.net 'ostrich' is almost as good.

That's insane justin. Congratulations. I want to turbo my LX, but i doubt that'll ever happen!

that is very cool. seems like everyone want to show their stuff off right now. i dunno, maybe i should get some new pix of my 3gee? probley will. that looks great. since we now know your engine stuff, whats with the suspension? i'm sure you've said it before somewhere. looks like slotted rotors front and rear. how wide are the tires you're running? and what wheels are those? looks sleeper. that was what you were going for right? oh, and did you build the turbo yourself or buy it as it is? my friend with a VR4 galant has a T3/T4 57trim i believe. that thing boosts like a mofo and even spins all the tires going through the gears.

now that's a clean turbo setup if i ever saw one. good job justin. i was wondering when we're gonna see pics of that tasha of yours. keep us updated on the performance and whether it was all worth it turbo'ing the a20.

thats looks freaking sweet man, is it really hard to turbo our cars because of room?? i went to some car shop about a week ago and he said he wouldnt want to turbo mine cause there isnt enough room
oh and that car looks sweeet:rockon:

yea I have an AEBS mani on my to-do list. I haven't heard much on Neptune I was thinking about going chrome pro and the moates RTP.

bobafett
11-06-2005, 10:17 AM
atta boy justin... wanna split the cost on crome pro? i gotta laptop we can tune with, we can meet up at HPF and do a all day dyno session or something once we get both our cars up....

im going with teh setup from www.xenocron.com the tuner package that $520.... :D

Justin86
11-06-2005, 10:31 AM
ok that should be a decent set up with ya.

If I can just get the right data cable I can do some DIY pulls and data log it on my laptop. that with a g-meter see what my gains are and try to get the tune pretty damn close before I go on the dyno.

Yea I custom built everything my self and the only problem with lack of room is that the A/C is in the way and its hard to fit a decent sized FMIC. It might be better to just run a water intercooler or maybe just alcohol injection if boost is kept low.

You didn't paint the IC fins did you?

Looks nice though :)

AccordEpicenter
11-06-2005, 11:41 AM
you can paint ic fins, it really doesnt hurt the efficiency much if its a thin coat.

Nice to see others brave enough to go into boost territory. I have had some big issues with mine but still going at it since i drove it boosted for about 2 months or so.

nice to finally see her maing! Now you just gotta run up here and find that turbo coupe i saw. . . . . . :D

Justin86
11-09-2005, 10:12 PM
yea I'm coming up there in a couple weeks Caleb and we will hunt the coupe down.

yea i did a lite coat of black on the fmic and I and I don't think it should hurt at all.

I didn't spend too much on the entire set up, and I'm willing to build kits for anyone else that feels the need and sell the current kit I have now. if you guys want to know more details just PM me.
