depends on the year and make and model. :( hatch coupe sedan all weigh different amounts... from what i understand... and different years made different power (at least with efi)

shit i went to the dump with my 240 and weighed it, but never did that with my accord. :) 240 was heavy though, like 2690 :(

that's light...try it with a convertible.

my 88 LX sedan weighed in at 2631 with a full tank of gas after correcting for my weight.

I guess what i meant was...
i.e. going from 13" wheels to 17" costs us 20Hp

lol, i cant explain myself..:uh:

its got nothing to do with type of car or what make.

i read about someone saying something like 100kgs = - .1 secs 1/4mile

wtf, you mean power-to-weight and compare it to how much time it translates to on the quarter mile? iono go put on a lab coat, do it to it.

yeah your just talking about how weight reduction correlates with lower ET's, and its tough to say because it depends on every car's unique setup. gearing, driveline type, aerodynamics, and many other factors come into play, there is no set rule that is actually accurate, but i have 'heard' the same thing, that 100 lbs is around .1 seconds off the ET...

that or you are talking about how lighter rotational mass translates into more horsepower to the ground, like with smaller lighter wheels and brakes. :D

Yeah lighter rotational mass frees up more hp per lbs lost, then weight reduction could so yeah. :) it's like 100X more effective. :P I dunno what I'm sayin.
