View Full Version : Upsizing on my 84 Accord with 15's"...

I was thinking... I have a set of mesh Acura Integra rims, 15" from a 2000 Integra. The bolt pattern is a 4 x 100. It would be sweet to put them on the 84 Accord, which came with 13's and is also 4 x 100. It looks like a 205 50 15 tire would work. However, The Integra is 15 x 6 whereas the Accord is 13 x 5. Would that present a problem? I guess those bolded numbers mean 6" vs. 5" depth of the rim. Hoping it will work, but I'm not going to do any crazy mods and I want it to be safe. Thanks!:werd:

Depends on the offset. Know the offset, per chance?

I think I saw it somewhere, but I forgot (of course). I'll try to dig them up to be sure. Thanks!

that will work. 205's shouldnt rub if the rims are off accord, prelude, civic, or integra. they should all be 40mm offsets, i dont know any 4x100 honda wheels that arent. not from those models.

I had 15" with 225-70-15's before i got my new rims, but if you go 15" 215's will rub, 205's will with alot of weight in the car, thats why i ended up going low pro.

Even a 50 series would rub with a lot of cargo??:sad2:

225-70-15 has got to be like monster truck tires for the accord.

185/70R/13 is the stock size!

205/50-15 is a good size or 195/50-15 would be a good size too....

The optimal match would be the:

205/50-15 = 23.1" tall
185/70-13 = 23.2" tall

My integra rims says 15x6JJ 45

I believe most of the 15x6 from honda is 45+ offset.

The closest match to us is 205/50/15 followed by 195/55/15.

I believe mine do as well... They are the exact same rims as these http://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=47959

I got four "H" center caps from a Civic Si so the Acura emblems won't look so poseur like. Man, the 13's on there are not smooth at all. Hopefully, Discount Tire will call me soon to tell me my tires are in. Cool.

I've run 15s on both my 84 and 87 Accords.
I got 4 of these: http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=Helium+-+Bronze&pc=HE65D04408
and a set of P205/50/R15 tires to go on them. No rubbing or other issues.
