Would it help start-up in the morning if I replaced my tiny stock battery for a battery out of a 4th gen accord? I have one laying around and the one in my 89 doesn't seem to hold power well enough over night.
The 4th gen battery is probaly 30-40% bigger.

is it a DX,LX,LX-I,SE-I?
if it doesnt turn over well then just buy a new battery, if it just doesnt start well, like it cranks fine just doesnt catch, if you have a carb. then pump the gas 2 times before starting, with injectors they could be dirty, or fuel filters dirty

there are a lot of things that determine how your car starts. Battery SIZE isnt really one of them. YOu want to make sure you have a battery with good cold cranking amps. I've seen batteries that are half the size of other batteries crank better than the big ones.

Size wont matter much, but if the battery is getting old it might start losing charge. I would see if you can test with a friends battery first to try and determine wether you need a battery or not.
