Today, just like everyday, I started my car for the first time of the day, and also like always, it started fine, and then after 10 seconds, it would run on 3 cylinders, and then after 2 minutes, back to 4, and then it would be fine for the rest of the day, only the first start of the day does this. I decided I didnt know when the last time the plugs were changed, so I made a quick stop over at advance auto and picked up some bosch +4's. I also tried picking up a clip for the window handle, but, I have no idea what they use to stay on, so, if anyone knows, please enlighten me. Anyhow, took the plugs out (which was a bitch because I dropped just about everything in the engine bay) and on the last plug, the wire got stuck on, and wound up breaking, so I went back, picked up O rings for the window (which still didnt work) and picked up new wires. So, now, I hope when I try and start it tomorrow morning, no more 3 cyl. crap. So, new oil and filter, air filter, plugs and wires, just makes me feel a little better about the car. Next is valve cover gasket, and then brakes because they squeak, which is weird because they were supposedly changed 4500 miles ago. Just thought I should give a little story.

you dont gap the +4's.

You should have gone for some NGK's or something. YOu just wasted $24. I bought those plugs, and my power and fuel mileage went down after i put em in.

Sucks for me I guess. Yeah, you cant gap the +4's because the way they are designed. And, yes, they were $24 almost exactly, and, I went for them because I've heard only good things about them. I guess different plugs are good in different cars. We'll see how they work as time goes on.

So, the plugs and wires didnt clear the rough running up. In fact, it made it worse, it didnt clear up as fast as it normally does, it took another 2 minutes. Now I wonder if its a fuel problem. I've also been getting some hesitation lately, perhaps a new carb or EFI would do the trick. Money, money, money...

Those wheels chillin in my mom's garage should do the trick.

on my bros accord(LX), when you start it when its cold, it revs to about 2k, then goes down to 1k in 2 seconds and runs like it is running on 3 cylinders, the problem is the slow heater choke, maybe you have the same problem, and after it runs for a bit it clears up and runs fine

it already has that, a complete new exhaust system, new plug wires, new oil pan and gasket and valve cover gasket, adjusted valves, new cooling system, all hose were repalced and radiator, only thing that is left to me is the carb. Thats all i can think of that is doing it, next thing to replace is the clutch,oh and front rotors and pads are new, and new tie rod ends
