View Full Version : Are sway bar links easy to change?

So are the links to the front sway bar easy to change? I have bought new ones to put in and I'd rather do it myself than pay someone to put them in if I can. The only problem is I don't have a garage so if it's something I can put in by lifting the car with a jack or ramps and not need special tools other than the wrenches for the link, I would be ready. Anyone have a clue?

Thanks!

Very easy. It's just two locking nuts on each side iirc.

I realize that it's two nuts/screw assemblies on each side, but if I were to undo one of those there won't be any reason for the sway bar end to move out of its position (as if it were under some load) and me not be able to put the new links in without special tooling, right?

Thanks

Both sides of the suspension should droop to about the same position so the anti-roll bar won't be loaded.
