Looks really good man. Did it take much modding to make it work'?

Looks really nice!

You should treat your side moldings with the foreferblack stuff. That would really make them stand out. It works like a champ.

That car color goes really well with the JDM sidemarkers

Here are the best pictures I could get of how I installed it. I went to home depot and got a stick of aluminum and cut 1/2 inch spacer for every hole. The point of the spacers were to drop the lip down a little so it would line up with the bumper a little better. Then I used 4 washers, a 1.25" bolt and a locking nut for each hole.I also used new holes, not the existing ones.I got it off an 89 integra in a junkyard for 5 bucks. The arrow in the picture is pointing to the spacer. Its better to take the bumper off to do this.

i still need to find one for mine, i want to space it out a little more though, 3/4" or so, maybe 1" to make it sit a little lower

i love your car man, next time we hang out we should swap my rims onto yours just to see what it looks like :P

did your lip on the back come from the same car? how about the side skirts?this is an 89 integra coupe? I'm finishing up my front bumper right now and this would be perfect. I just need to call around the yards looking for an integra. while i'm on the subject, does anyone remember the side skirts off the minivan that are supposed to fit on the hatch? I think its a mazda mpv van,it's not the dustbuster van i remember that.

the back lip came stock on the accord, i have one too, and i dont think he has any sideskirts, and the lip i think was taken off of a hatch 86-89 integra

car looks badass man, now all you need to do is paint the side mouldings :)

In fact it's not a rear bumper lip. The bumper comes like that. The bottomp art is unpainted that's it. This is what the 88-89 bumper looks like (except the hatch)

I think those bumpers look way better. There is no luck for the rear hatchback bumper. Maybe an 88-89 aerodeck bumper would work.

same lip that i have

hmm the rear bumper one i'll have to make,i had heard there were some side skirts from a minivan that fit on the hatch, this was years ago on here,i'm trying to remember what van it was. i wonder if another front lip from an integra would mount on the back? just turn it around,i've got way too much repair work in that rear bumper with the euro fogs and all to ever get rid of it.

wow..I want your car..Nice work..Hope mine will look like that again some day

now all you need to do is paint the side mouldings :)
Dosnt look right with that color..Same as mine..I did one side and I put new ones back on...

ok ok, i know semi old thread, but i found one! fuck yeah dude, and it was only 2 bucks! i didnt even have to work for it, (by that i mean take it off the car myself) i just found it laying on the side of an integra. i was talking to the cashier, and since he didnt know what it was, he just said, well give me two bucks for it. just cuz i told him i found it laying there and i didnt take it off anything. at this jy they're kinda high tech, the guy actually goes online looks up the piece and i think they sell you molding parts for 1/8 of the price.

whats funny is that since i wanted one so bad, because of superaccord's, i actualy was going to pay the 68 bucks that the acura dealership quoted me. but tried one more time and got it for 2. fuck yeah, i cant wait to put it on. im sanding it down a bit as it has many, many scratches. should look nice. oh and sorry superaccord but im going to copy your process. thanks for the info bro

actually i already finished! its on and it looks awesome! i cant post pics up yet because im at work and it would take for ever and i mean forever because of the 56k. anyway thanks a lot for the info. though i used spacers i found in the hardware isle of home depot. the bolts, nuts and washers cost me around 5 bucks total! plus the 2 bucks i paid for it at the jy, well thats a 7 dollar lip man! thats fucking awesome.

i will post the pics up as soon as i get off and go home.

12-12-2005, 01:50 PM
is it an aftermarket lip?? or did all the 86-89 integra's come with it? was it pretty much just drill some holes and install?? or was there any cutting of length or width, or hieght in that matter...... thanks. sorry for all the q's. i would LOVE to get one on my car.

gfrg88
12-12-2005, 02:50 PM
all 86-89 come with them, just drill new holes and it fits perfect

mkymonkey
12-12-2005, 06:40 PM
yeah they came stock with the acura integras LS.... the LS is important because i couldnt find any on the other trims. anyway, i still dont have any pictures of it, but i will soon!

Damn, i need a lip like that. What did you use to put it on?

mkymonkey
12-13-2005, 03:24 PM
the same stuff that superaccord used to mount his on.

here is what you need to buy from home depot (well at least what i bought)

10 1.25" 1/4 bolts
20 1/4 washers
10 1/4 locking nuts
10 1/2" nylon or plastic or aluminum spacers

what you need is a drill and basically some elbow grease. you use the spacers to drop the lip down half an inch to line up with the line of the bumper, and of course washers and nuts to bolt it down. its pretty simple, i spent 7 bucks on everything. ill take some more pics in a bit to show you how i mounted it.
