A while ago, I replaced my UCAs and tie-rod ends. I took them apart, and here are the pictures.

The ball joint boot of the UCA looks in similar condition as the tie-rod end boot. Turns out the UCA boots is TORN, but the tie-rod end boot is NOT TORN yet (very close). The conditions of the ball joints are very different!

These are 16-year old HONDA parts. From what I can tell, if changing the boot, the tie-rod end can still last quite a while. It seems to me that ball joint failure is a result of the boot failure.

Is this correct? or the other way around? Opinion please.

well I think in the rear I change them every 2 years they must bind and wear some cuz i never loose a boot but they go bad ( wear out ).

Otherwise im not sure but imagine if Honda put grease fittings in them how long they last

both I used only one set of Hondas the rest after market. Im actually in the process of buying some adjustables but of course its coming out screwy. Im gonna post up on it in a week or two once i get everything set up. Im looking to add some negative rear camber and keep my stock ride hieght.

Well the final answer is Ingalls. Part # 38600.

I started out with ACdelcos that came with the ball joint from rockauto for $73 but one was differant than the other so I sent them back today.

Ill write it up shortly when the right shit comes in.
