OK i was thinking even though mine is an 88 model, I think the 88-89 AU accords are the same wiring and all as the 86-87 ones, now if that's the case im interested in testing out a gen 2 prelude ECU in the car to see if it will work.

Now in my attempts to find one, NO one will supply one or supply one for anything under a couple of hundred!!!!!

So now, im asking if anyone is interested in doing a temporary loan of the ECU, ill pay the shipping costs, here and back and if it works ill even purchase it.

u want to try a lude ecu in the accord? what advantages are you hoping to gain. (i'm not being sarcastic, i'm genuinly curious)

apparently it gives a little bit more of an increase, plus I know my ECU has a speed limiter and other shit

its just an experiment really.

Well one ecu is quite a bit larger than the other maybe you could measure yours and We can see if it the same one

the 88-89 LXi is completely not compatible with the 86-87 and the 2gen Si lude

well i have a 87 ecu that i'm going to try on my five speed swap into an 88 and i'll tell you what happens. The harnesses and everything fit right up. The old computer is larger than the new one. I'll have to wait till I crank and see what happens though.

ok, but its gonna run like shit.

it does not have the 2nd O2, the electronic idle control, the butterflys for the dual runners...

I've got one on my 86, and from what I can see, it has slightly different fuel mappings. It likes to run richer than my stock ECU did. I can't really feel too much of a difference, but who knows. I'm keeping it in there for shits and giggles.
