Hello, My 89 Lx-i auto tranny crapped out on me like 6 months ago, and I was planning on getting a new car(97 integra gsr), but in the mean time i got into some trouble involving a friend, a loaner tsx, a test drive, and $18,000 worth of damages + angry parents. So, i ended up deciding upon fixing my car instead, went over better with the parents). I have a younger engine and a younger manual trans. that i'm in the process of putting into my car. through this process i have grown attatched to my car, and when i'm done with the engine/tranny swap i'm going to fix up her appearance as well. The car is in good shape except for several large rust holes(involving one that cause my Lx-i logo to fall off:ugh: I plan on patching these holes and repainting the car when i'm done. I happen to have the original paint brochure from 89(my dad saves everything) and the color i have is called monteray green metalic. i would like to repaint the car the same color, but am open to suggestions. really my point for this post is. . .where can i get original paints, the dealer maybe? and if i can't, what are your opinions on the best colors for the 3g. keep in mind i have a light tan interior. Your opinions are greatly valued!

Here's a site. You may want to verify your paint code on your door jamb.

i was also interested in this, i was looking for a color wheel or something for OEM colors, but i cant find them. I know my code, and my color, but i want to look at other stock options too.

like i said, my dad saves everything. so if u want, i'd be happy to scan in a copy of the 89 paint brochure. It has all the colors honda had that year, and a handy chart to tell which cars came in which colors. and you'll notice, nowhere on the list of cars is there any type of truck, van, or SUV!
