Damn I just wish I had video of this. We really got a kick out of it when then cabin started to fill with smoke close to the end. :bowrofl:

the tear down process

here's the problems, bad piston wear, there should not be any scratching on the sides.

then the rod knock due to bad bearings on #2 and #3. The pic is looking at the #4 and #3 bearings and the amount of wear is quite noticable.

of course what engine tear down is not complete with out a broken socket.

are those stock replacement pistons in there or forgings? Yea you have some scuffing issues, how do your cylinders look? Those bearings look like hell, i bet your crank may be damaged as well. Pull your mains also. For all you skeptics, look at how stout those rods are, they really are nice pieces.

Why is "POOP" spraypainted on the wall?

yea many people were disapointed about not getting a ride along, damn I really wished with took video of it now.

Pistons are stock 8.8:1, rods are also stock
We drove the shit out of it for a 6 mile stretch of back country road doing up to 130mph and keeping the engine around 5-6K the whole time. plus a week before I hit the rev limiter at 8200 since the ECU was still set for a B18(throtle stuck under full boost).

the block has some minor scratches similar to with the pistons, not sure on the crank, if it's savable. The #2 journal and significant scoring, that I
can feel with my fingernail.

Poop is the result of a 12 yr old with a rattle can

LMAO. If the #2 journal catches your fingernail, id highly reccomend getting another crank, turning honda cranks to fix the journals is not a good idea. Besides, whole accord shortblocks are easy to find in good condition for cheap. Also, it sounds like your bores are wierd too, maybe a bit too large or egg shaped... I think itd be time for a dial bore gauge to figure out wtf is up with that block also.

I'm glad I got a ride in it when I did. Justin I have a whole other car you can have for a couple hundred bucks.

matt I can't afford shit right now, yea and A20's are a dime a dozen here.

What I read that uneven wear on the pistons is usally caused by uncylindrical ports. Most of the time from a bad hone job, which I can say is my fault and I wasn't suprised when I did see the pistons.
