i'm pretty sure you can put a b18c type r ON your car, in your engine bay not too sure, but i'm sure one would definitely rest ON your car... might leave a scratch or two, but next time use the search tool we have a lot of good info on b series swaps just take a look before you ask.

if these accords accepted type r's or gsrs or anything, i wouldnt be "wasting" all my money on this fuel injection swap i'm doing, i'd just "drop in a type r". If only. But i'm kind of glad that other engines dont just bolt right up, or you'd see a lot of retarded 3geez with 5" muffler tips and park benches on the back. So thank god we dont have b-h-k series compatibility.

jeez you guys,

Yes you can put a B18C5 in your accord... but really it's not up to us how you get your swap done... thats all on you and who you can find to help you. There isn't a 'KIT' so everything will need to be custom made or scavanged form another car.

There is an engine swap forum with lots of info in it.

It'll work if you throw about a grand into mounts and such. A couple grand in labour, a few more thousand for the engine.

For about 7 grand you can have the swap done, I'd say.

It'll fit, may need a bit of hammerin' and cuttin' in places, but it'll fit with some work.

WTF!! a grand in mounts, i dont think mounts are the hard part in a swap, check out the engine swap sections theres a lot of good info in there and a couple of guys trying to do a b swap into accord without the pri kit....

i think whenever this engine dies (no time soon, i hope) i may shell out the billion dollars for a b series or h series. Fuck it, if you're going to fab and do tons of custom stuff, get a k and sell out like everyone else and their mother :) . I love my friend's typeS rsx, i wouldnt mind one of those in my car. But yeah, i'll stick with my engine for now

well, the b16 has been done using all but one stock 3 gee mount, cant tell me it hasnt i have seen it,

All it takes is a garage, and welding skills, and you can put whatever you want into whatever you can.

just get creative, its all about the mounts, and if mounts are the only thang that get in your way of a 4cyl swap into a 4cyl stock bay, then your a quiter....

I know that "Fastlane" (a shop here in Tacoma) does b18c swaps. They charge about 1500 for labor, last time I checked. They have also fabbed the mounts. All of this information is about a year old, by the way.

is that into a 3g accord or a 4-6g civic or 2-3g integ?

As of one year ago, fastlane had engine mounts for b18c into 3g accords. They had done this swap a number of times. I haven't visited in over a year, so I'm not sure what they're up to now, though. I was thinking of getting a turbo b18c last year, but the cost would have been about $5k, installed.

a year ago, PRI made mount kits for the B motor. . . . . .

i'm sure they didn't do it a "number" of times, maybe like 3 times but i have never heard of nor seen a b18c 3g :sad2:

that would be one hell of a fast 3g, but for the engine swapping thing, im still planning on saving up and getting a b18c or a b16b swapped into an old mini.... superfastminis.com

Naw man, you're going to need a bottle of NOS. No, you'd better make that two bottles.

Blow them welds on the intake manifold... get your car swiss cheesed by some Yakuza wannabies.

I know of 2 GS-R swaps. Swapping a B18C is the same as a B16A/B or B18A/B or B20B/Z.

Swapping to a B18C5? In an accord? Thats IMPOSSIBLE!

true but how many times has that shop done it... that's what i was saying not that it has only been done like 3 times total.

I honestly don't know how many times they've done it. However, I'm sure it was more than three, as they were telling me stories of at least three swaps. I called them today, and the guy that used to work there no longer does. The new guys said that the swap would be "impractical" due to the low value of the car. They guessed it would cost about $5000 to get the engine and install it.

imagination, a metal press, welding equipment, drill, SAE grade 8 bolts and nuts and truck application suspension bushings, thats all you need to make mounts. The rest is candy.

Here in pakistan we have installed B16A, F22 and FWD Isuzu Diesel engines into 3geez apart from the B20A.

yeah, with time, money, and tools, you could stick anything under a 3g hood. or any hood, for that matter.
