I actually had one but it got stolen out of my shop :-( I have suspicions as always but no proof *sigh* So I am using this cheesy Weapon R filter and a piece of aluminum that I had in my shop... I will be buying a new cold air intake and will be routing it down thru where the battery is now. The battery will be relocated to the trunk in the near future.

I checked the main relay, replaced it and now I have power to the pump and ECU when I turn on the car, ECU is now flashing 13 red flashes indicating: BARO Sensor (Atmospheric Pressure) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor. It's missing lol (as this happens to little sensors over a year). I looked in the Hanes manual and it's supposed to be in the trunk... the thing is I looked in the trunk and couldn't find it in my working accord... but I'm not surprised it's a different model. I will be going to the junk yard first thing in the morning.

*Edit - I just looked in the online manual (http://www.pauldesign.ru/honda/shopmanual.html) it says it's behind the glovebox... I'll take look tomorrow*

On that note if anyone knows if it's not in the trunk please let me know.

All in all the mistakes I've had to fix are due to inexperience and next time I will be sure to do things a little differently to avoid this same issue.

Justin86, Your rear strut tower brace didn't work quite right... I made it fit, We will see if it effects my alignment... (no offense or anything I know things aren't always perfect)

Looking good! But, why is the picture on top flipped left to right?

To confuse the HELL out of me!! I spent like 3 minutes looking at it trying to figure out how the header was in front and the tranny was on the right!!

Sorry for the no updates BUT...

I finally re-installed my gastank today... it was interesting running my new brake lines..i did get them up out of the way anyway. I'm getting the windshield re-installed tomorrow and then all that's left (to get it rolling) is the drivers seat and shiftlinkange :-)

I am taking all the orange panels from my other car and putting them on this one until i get all the body work done.... it's cheating but i don't care at this poitn i just want it on the road. I may have it insured next weekend :-)

Hey all :-)

Wow if I didn't know about all the work I've done to this car I'd say it drives like a piece of crap! lol BUT knowing all that I've done the car feels pretty good...

I say that because I'm mainly getting used to the ROCK HARD suspension, if I run over a pebble it sounds like i just curbbed my car! This is due to: Integra Shocks and Springs as well as my front and rear strut bars, and the tie rod set. (picture below)

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/6411/sbarsuo5.jpg

I've got some electrical issues to work out... My taillights don't work and I've got a grounding issue to work out... this is the little stuff I hate because It feels so tedious.

As for the performance.... I've got about 120 KM on the block now and WOW It's quick! I haven't even stepped on the pedal yet... My car feels like it has V-Tec man... I've got the custom cam from Colt cams and as soon as I hit 3100 RPM it wants to pull and pull... and hard too... which is a tease of course as I can't really get the rpm too high for another 4850 KM lol

Unfortunately my car is not where I want it to be... It only has the Driver seat installed... the Re-upholstering job I did sucks ass so I need to do it again...but this time I've got more experience on my side (the roof looks good still but my A,B and C pillars are falling apart :-( )

I don't have money for new carpet right now so my interior is going to look like crap for a while :-(

All in all it's OK... Not Good but OK. It's going to be alot nicer in the near future when I get some more time and money to put into it.

what kind of hub are you running? would it work on a 3gee...i want an aftermarket wheel also. and that momo looks like sex

so use this hub: http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/ZMHUBA/MOMO+Hub+Adaptor.html

and this steering wheel
http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/MMJSW/Momo+Jet+Steering+Wheels.html

along with those im running an NRG short quick release. it is about the same distance total with hub quick release and wheel from the wiper and turn signals as the stock wheel was.

id order it from them. great customer service and fairly quick on getting the parts. and they are cheaper than most places

I'm SORRY!

Life's busy what can I say?

A few updates:

Replaced my Headlights:

Before:
http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI0106s.JPG

After:
http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI0108s.JPG

Properly installed my guage cluster.. had some extra sound dampening so I figured it wouldn't hurt:

http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI0111s.JPG

Gauge cover:

http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI0112s.JPG

I cut down the Gauge cover... I found it to be too big, I'll be doing a fiberglass edge on this to make it look cleaner:

http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI0113s.JPG

I messed up while cutting this with a saw, The right side is stright but the left side has a curve in it... I'll be fixing this:

http://geminiwebhosting.ca/images2/DSCI01132s.JPG

I was playing around with a 4G spoiler, what do you think?:

Hello Everyone

I hate to sound like a broken record but....

The project is still in "project status" but as everyone know life comes first.

Good news is I have a line on a paint booth so painting my car is going to be cheap.

As for all my pictures not working I deleted one of my domain's forgetting that EVERYONE OF MY PICTURES was on it.

I am working to restore all my images.

Thank you all who have been following my thread for years You all ROCK MY WORLD. THanks.

.... I keep finding things to clean and sort grrr but i can see the light :-)

First thing on the agenda is make the car road legal again of course... I stopped driving it because I failed to yield and a cop pulled me over. Gave me a warning but made up for it by also giving me a Box 1 inspection. I found a list of requirements online and have to check off one by one.

Can anyone from BC verify this is the right inspection?

http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/CVSE/vehicle_inspections/PDF/MV3199.pdf

I know I will need to replace my windshield... not a fun job in the cold of pick-n-pull however it's a quick $300 in savings grabbing a windshield from the wrecker and doing it yourself.

Bonus: I found two rolls of windshield removal wire when cleaning up my tons of crap :-)

That looks like the inspection I had to have done for OOP in BC. Is it really $300 out there to have a windshield put in? that's crazy expensive.

Well.. the wind shield itself is going to be a couple hundred bucks plus the install...

Dr_Snooz
11-07-2013, 06:12 PM
Don't you have one of those businesses that sits right next to the wrecking yard? When you go for a windshield, they run into the yard to grab it. I've gotten windshields for super cheap that way.

Methinks you will have a hard time with that inspection sheet when you hand it over to the ICBC agent. Assuming this is an out of province, pre registration inspection, you will need to take it to somewhere like Canadian Tire, fork over $120 (or whatever it is now) and have them go through it. If it is an already registered vehicle and the officer is sending you in for a VI, my guess is the officer feels your car is an unsafe vehicle. Get it fixed and inspected properly.

Last windshield I changed was $100 (depends on how you have your insurance set up. In Manitoba I paid zero dollars for windshields).

Good to see more progress being made, I always really liked that orange colour... BC inspections do suck, when I had to get my Accord inspected for out of province I ended up having to go to a buddies hook up for it as it wouldn't pass by most shops standards... So stupid though. If only you were in Van I would tell you where to go for inspection.

Windshield re-installed :-)

Next up: get horn and heater workingI just replaced the horns in my 88 Accord. I bought the new ones at the local Advance Auto Parts store; Part No. H17 and Part No. H18 . I combined a high tone and low tone horn. I like the sound.

Had a good chat with the shop today...

Added a couple things to my list:

- Re-install Heater
- Make horn work

New:
Re-add cat converter
likely need to replace my front rotors, I'd bet the grooves are more then 2.3 mm deep.

They are still less intense than the Manitoba one, which is mandatory any time ownership is transferred on a vehicle. But it does keep the unsafe shitmobiles the hell off the road, which I kinda appreciate. Cops over there also are pretty good about pulling over anything that looks poorly maintained and sending it for inspection. Here in the lower mainland, not so much. You gotta be pretty much speeding at least 25 over + talking on a cellphone + not wearing a belt for them to pull you over. Traffic services is pretty understaffed in most detachments that I deal with and from what I gather.

I Cannot get my horn to work

i've looked here http://www.3geez.com/forum/technical/44428-horn-troubles.html and here http://www.3geez.com/forum/technical/64986-horn-cruise-help.html with no luck.

I have constant power to the horn and I have tested the steering wheel. When I depress the steering wheel it

***HOLD UP ***

As I was writing this I was like ummm....hornS? I thought there was only one.... low and behold hooking up the second horn completed the circut and I have working HORNS now.

This leaves me with Blower motor. Lets get you working now

Poo.

Just figured out I have something I Need to complete first before putting my fuel lines back in.

All the rust repair I did ( wheel well front passenger tire, Floor pan under read driver passenger feet) ..... well I didn't complete it all apparently (now that i"m crawling under to secure fuel lines >:-\ ).

So now I have to go to Lordco once again and purchase Rubberized Undercoating in a spray can. This way I can fill in the one spot and eventually cover everything up so none the wiser :-)

So.... even tho the parts store sells rubberised fuel injection line it's not legal to have it as fuel line. Like WTF.

SO.... I need to put in the Steel line in, I didn't have this line originally becuase this car started life as a Carb model... so no fuel return line to the tank.

So, I got at her last night again,

Drilled a hole in my firewall for the new line,
Installed the steel fuel line and secured it all the way back
Re-installed the firewall insulation
Re-installed the Wiring harness
Re-installed the Blower Motor
Re-installed the Heater core

Gemini2003

Re-installed the Duct between Blower and Heater Core,
Re-installed the steering column
Re-installed the Dash and Gauges
Re-installed the Pedal assembly

After all this I went to go test my brakes... no brake lights :-(

So, I went back a couple pages to my self done safety inspection and I found I had no brake lights then either...

I'm definitely going to the year to grab one I called the glass shop today and they said 500 bucks.

So I just safetied my car myself:

Which.... Means..... I was driving around town with no brake lights..... For a while... awesome....

Great Thread for Brake light troubleshooting. :-) Sticky?

I had the same issue, thanks to the above post I visually inspected my fuses and found bad ones,

The other issue however, my brake switch didn't have 4 pins mine had 2.

I think the difference is between cruise and non cruise,

I need the different switch for my brakes I just realized, off to the wrecker I go lol

**EDIT** I'm back and simply switching the switch on the brake pedal resolved this concern, Also the wiring at the bulbs was all rusty... cleaned it all up and I have brake lights again!

Well, As it turns out I had the relay I needed but grabbed the grey ECU box... I think it's for the power locks? Anyway my harness is happy now with no dangling connectors lol

I got my car up to 190 degrees last night, the thermostat opened and I had flow, I was happy :-)

No fan running tho... and considering it's -15 to -10 C (5 to 15 F) right now I doubt it's going to get to the 220 degrees Fahrenheit needed for the fan to turn on.

I did the "Jump the temp sensor at the bottom of the Rad test" and my fans kicked on :-)

Dang lol keep running into snags found out my reverse lights are not working I have connected the two wires off the tranny to the Green/black and yellow at the automatic shifter location, still no reverse lights.

Going to grab a couple sensors from the wrecker tomorrow to check that.

Got some odds and ends today. Resolved my brakes issue for real this time haha feel like I run into every issue I can with this car. All in the learning I guess All Bulbs and wiring at the tail lights replaced and the 3rd brake light bulb replaced as well. No more warning light on the dash every time I hit the brakes :-)

The temp sensor on the top of the motor was rotted, replaced that today as well.

Here are my upgrades I cleaned them up using sandpaper and then toothpaste :-)

Gemini2003
02-10-2014, 08:02 AM
Going for a test drive this morning...but not much!!!!!!!! like... maybe ... oh i need to replace the lock on the driver door :-)

Yesterday I fixed my reverse lights, I was having the damndest time gettin gthem going after the swap.

I read http://www.3geez.com/forum/technical/72098-additional-notes-mt-swap.html

and I put the wires together but again like other have said no power to the Switch.

I ended up running a wire from the tranny to the interior fuse box. From Fuse #2. This new wire is the yellow wire. I ran the other half of the switch directly to the wiring harness. In my case I spliced it into the harness right beside the drive seat.

Reverse lights work again!!.... spent ALL damn day on that one.

Yay! Pulled her out of the shop and ripped around the neighborhood for a bit darn thing never went above 180-190 degrees F Good I know :-) lol

No shifting issues, no issues with the cv's as far as I can tell.

I have an issue with my headlights intermittently not working on high beam very weird.

I relocated the battery BACK to the engine bay. Re-installed the battery try of course as well.

Tightened up the Front bumper and Bumper Cover.

Buttoned up all the dust shielding under that area as well.

Tidy'd up most of the wiring harness with electrical tape and Zap Straps.

once I figure out the headlight intermittency issue ... and maybe bleed my brakes...... I am pretty sure it's 100% time for safety!!

Gemini2003

Headlights are still being intermittent, but most of the time they work... like 1 in 5 times the high beams don't work.

Tested my Hazards (forgot to last time) and they're also working..... Even tho they take a few seconds to activate.

I need to:

Get weather stripping for one of my doors,
Replace all the grommets on the firewall
repair a small bit of body work at the rear driver passenger door.

Battery light is on.....

Pulled the battery cable with car running and it died,

Altenator toast :-( Picked up a new alt today from the junker and replaced it, Test fire tonight when I get off work :-)

If the alt is fine and the headlights are working normally I Think I'm ready for safety...I think lol

Well, I failed but all this is easy to fix all the electrical shit passed :-) :-) Off to the wrecker in the am :-)

EDIT just priced this all out at the wrecker and it's going to cost about 250 before tax if I get everything individually, however I think if you take the works they give you a discount AND it's easy lol maybe get them down to 150-200 :-)

We don't have safety inspections of any kind here in California. We also drive very old cars because there is no rust or harsh weather to destroy them. Yet somehow we don't have massive casualty counts from our seat belt holes or missing hood props. Heck, we have ball joints come apart on the road and there are no giant pile-ups. How do they justify forcing everyone to pay for those inspections up there? Are there any hard numbers to support the scheme?

It's all about $$$$... Some provinces up here require YEARLY safety inspections. One rust hole, exhaust leak, or dead light bulb will cause a failure. Also, my auto registration sticker costs $140 per year..

At the same time, this car has multiple serious issues.. Ball joints, wheel bearings, brakes, tie rod end.. Yeah, I wouldn't have wasted my money on the inspection.

The reason the officer requested the major inspection was because it was probably deemed unfit for the road, and frankly looking at all of the issues, I probably would too. Something must have really pissed off the cop, or the car had blatantly obvious mechanical issues that got the cop worried enough to force an inspection. Gets the unsafe and sketchy shit off the road. Not really a cash grab as it forces slackers to fix their death traps properly so that a mechanical or structural failure on the death trap does not cause a major accident and wipe out some other unsuspecting motorist.

I think inspections are a wonderful motivator to keep a vehicle in good working order at all times. I hope they start doing them yearly actually, instead of Aircare/smog.

Some of those shops in BC are retarded for the stuff they mark as unsafe... First inspection I took my car for in Van, the guy said my seatbelts failed because they didnt recoil under no tension fast enough... Yet acknowledged that the locking mechanisms and buckles worked perfectly well. It's a 25 year old car... not a new car. He also said my car wouldn't pass with some buttons/switches not in the dash and their holes open... how is that a safety issue if I don't have a blank where the cruise control switch is supposed to be??.... So I found another shop through a friend and passed without any issues.

Good luck getting yours sorted and getting through the inspection.

Well...

I did piss off the cop BUT not intentionally

My car had no visible rust but it's Primer Grey n Orange and it's lowered so it does look heatscore.

What it was in the end was the cop was dumb to what makes a car road legal or not.

He Pulled me over for FAILING TO YEILD (which I admitted to) and saw that I had no seats except my driver seat and he had a Kanipshit.

Once I told him that you legally did NOT need seats beside the driver seat he thought I was lying to him. He called his traffic cop buddy and I heard him say " well he needs seats doesn't he? " LOL

Anyway he let me slide for the fail to yeild but hit me for a Box 1 Vehicle Inspection

I have not worked on the car since the day of safty, I'm going to pick it up again in the next week or so...

Right now however I've got a serious.....serious.... addiction to minecraft... lol
