hey how many people on here have the old preludes? I've seen a bunch of them listed unde cars in signatures. and does anyone remember what year the ones were with the pop ups? I saw the nicest looking prelude SI I have ever seen at walmart yesterday. It looked like it had just rolled off of the factory floor, absoultly perfect. factory foglights in the bumper and all,I wish i had had my camera with me.I left them a note about three geez because I know a lot of people here like the old ludes with the pop ups,and most of the lude sites are gone. someone has loved this car for a long time for it to be that beautiful, maby we can be of some use to them, never hurts to have another classic honda lover on here.

I've got one of those. Using it as a daily driver through the winter. Sporting a stock 137hp B20A1 engine.

What's with the power buldge?

I personally like the later ones that have the rounder body with the pop-ups...

My dad had an '85, it was a great car!!!

That's because it's a 2.0i-16, which means that it has a DOHC 16valve engine. The engine takes up a bit more room under the hood that's why it has the bulge.

they had the flip ups in the lude till the 4th generation so to '93 i think, or

My dad had an '85, it was a great car!!!yea this was a little newer then the pic i'll have to hunt down some pics on the web, this one had the rounded front, but wasn't anywhere near a 93 it had the same dash as our cars with the digital clock, and the same upholstery. it had the lights that are closer to our cars. as far as the taillights. this was an si,it had the curved driving lights built into the bumper. bea-u-tif-ul

2nd gen Ludes = 1983-1987
3rd gen Ludes = 1988-1991

I just got rid of an '89 SI a few months ago; it was an alright car. I really liked the '81 Lude I had a few years back... that thing just would not die. :D

ok here it is it's a third generation one. I guess that would make it a threegeeL:bowrofl: the only difference is that this one was the same champainge gold color used on our cars. it's so nice to see one of these cars taken care of,usually teenagers get their hands on them and rag them out. there weren't that many to begin with, because they were the expensive honda, but even fewer si models. if you love your three g you just have to love the sister car too. this is not the car but a picture of the same car.

I totally want one too! Love them.........if/when the 3g is no longer mine, I plan on hunting one of those down.
In fact at my bf's there's one down the street....if it wasn't crappy looking I'd try to trade.

On another note, there's also a 2g Accord up in the woods not running but body looks decent as far as I can tell.

i remember my dad owned a auto repair shop, and one of the workers there had a 88 or 89 prelude, or maybe even older, but it was red, and had no body damage, it was perfect, engine was also wonderfull, i personally love how it looks, and how the rear wheels turn, i fall for that

Sorry about that quality, I took it with my fone, I wasn’t too sure if those pod filters on the bonnet were connected though.

Currently, I have two 3G Ludes. I have a Black '88 Si (awaiting B21A1 Build), and an '89 S (Just Finished it, anyone wanna buy a car?). To answer the question posed earlier, the 83-87 Preludes (2G) had the Pop ups, as did the 88-91 3Gs. In 92, they were beaten with the ugly stick, but by the 5G, they were purty again (no popups though).

Give me the details on the 89 S? I'm not really familiar with the Preludes. What engine? Fuel injected? Mileage? Condition? Price? etc...
