View Full Version : my gloss black dashboard :)

i taken my dash out and painted it without primer (forgot to buy primer) and the results are good, no scratches oranything, i tried alot to get the paint of but it wouldnt come off :) but i just gave it another 2 layers just incase and yesterday i sprayed it with tyre shine stuff and gave it that real shiney look and then sprayed it with air freshner to get rid of that smell and now that its finished it looks great nice and shiney, pictures arent so great quality coz i took the pics inside at night but it looks so proffesional and it was ME that done it :) i cant belive i done something that looks good (ricer style) also rolled back my kms a few thousand... no i didint... and those marks that you see that aint painted, that was just tape, i didnt cover it propely

yeah it would be, ill just invent some visors for the dash, or tint the window, or just not drive in the sun :)

Wouldn't a matt finish work better so you don't kick up that glare from the sun and such? NZ/Aus residents put those carpet things over their dash anyways .. so you'll probably end up doing that so it doesn't crack and such.

Why didn't you paint the bottom part.. ?

i just like the shine of it, and i didnt paint the bottom coz i didnt know is the paint would stick to it and also were the dash was sitting i couldnt access the middle but i might paint the bottom half sometime..., should i paint the grey parts of the door panel black? or just leave it?

Nice, what sort of paint did you use?
And tell me how you going to get wof with the k's rolled back, it's logged onto the mta computer system

well when we got the car it had 150000kms and we travled 30000kms which came up to 180000kms so i just rolled it back to what it was after we got it since we travled alot in it before it crashed, and also, im not gonna bother fixing this car and my next car will have brand new printed ones :) and maybe laminated (not using shitty parts that dont work properly on a new car)

so.... you rolled back the odometer.... that's illegal if you didn't know.... And what's the point of doing that anyway? I mean, the next place it will probably drive is the wrecker.....

dash looks ok, but your going to have a good time driving that ( assuming it's ever driven again) in the sun.... I dunno about you, but i like my vision :D

this car would cost 2 much 2 fix it, its been deregod and im im printing out new gauges like said^^^ coz these ones are glued in

lol, then there would of been no point in painting it :P but those are good 2 have, my dad will prolly need 1 for his car, not just because of the glare or w/e but some things he leaves on the dash melts and he has a few lumps on his dash board lol
