Hello,
I'm new to the honda community, I was given an 89 accord coupe to use as a winter beater, because I blew my tranny:sad2: in my swapped celica 225hp, 200lbs torque. You guys seem to be pretty friendly so its good to be here. I didn't want to do anything to it, but I might not be able to leave it alone now that I've seen what you guys have done to some of yours, and I'm impressed

But I'm a tried and true toyota enthusiest.
Current car(:crying: down till april, but very paitently waiting for LSD)
1992 Toyota celica GTS
w/ 3sgte 2.0L motor on 8lbs
Manual boost controller
7th gen GTS rims powdercoated gunmetal grey
Car is Primer colour'd with a black hood, gonna be painting the car in april gunmetal to match the rims.
Erubuni front lip, Carcept Sides

Winter Beater
1989 Honda accord (stock)
Auto w/230km fuel injected

Fixes Past/Present/Future
I've had to adjust the idle so it would idle at 1k
Change the injector rings(I could smell fuel at a stop light, with the air recurrulation on fresh, found out what to do from here:) )
Put in a straight pipe for my exaust removed the cat
Will be putting in a mp3 deck on sat.
Winter tires will get put this weekend
Needs a new windshield
Needs a turn signal stalk
Motor leaks oil from the drain plug
Needs new motor mounts
Honda rear wheelwell rust
needs new rear taillights

Potential Mods
Might do I/H/E on stock motor or
Thinking about doing the b16 motor swap(Researching in progress)
Looking into struts & shocks
Looking for 4bolt rims & tires
Cleaning off all side mouldings
Windows tint'd & trim re-painted black
Maybe paint.

Welcome!! Toyota's are great cars, but I still prefer the handling of a Honda!!
Why don't you do the I/H/E/ on your stock motor then you can give them to me when you do your swap!! (hey, It's worth a try!!!)

come for the car, stay for the atmosphere.
if you don't want the car later there will definitely be people who will buy it for parts or because they want another one.
what's the trim line?

Injected '89 must be LXi or SEi...

well we can't tell where he's from, so...
but it's more than likely one of the two.
but hell if it's an SE-i i would buy it for parts

I'm pretty sure its a LXi, but I'm too lazy to go and check. Profile updated, and I want to keep it as a winter beater, but its just too damn underpowered, I might give it too my girlfriend so I can still mod it.:D

This is my first honda, I've owned mazdas, fords, vw's, and a handfull of toyotas, and I have to say the celica is the best handling car I've driven. If any of you guys have ever drivin an alltrac or a 5th gen celica you'll know what I mean, when I say boy she can handle. With a few mods you have a serious track car(rear strut bar, lowering springs**couch, couch :bowrofl: teins**) oohh I so want some teins, maybe santa will leave me some under my christmas tree. If any of you guys are ever in ontario look me up, I'll be more then happy to show you what I mean about the celica handling.

Since Canada has outlawed firearms, I seriously doubt I'll be going there, but thanks for the offer....

They haven't for citizens yet, but have for visitors for many, many years...

My dad lost a pistol he was given by his brother nearly 40 years ago because he got it in New Hampshire and was taking it back to Arizona through Canada to stop in Michigan on the way, and made the mistake of telling the border guard he had it....

lol, yup a 2nd gen, a friend of mine is finishing up the same swap now. But his will be a 2.2L 3sgte, I'm just alittle bit jealous of him, but I'll have lsd and he won't so I won't be for much longer. And I just found out today I might be able to get some used teins SS for 750, which is a steal. I just might have teins for xmas.

welcome!! now that you have bought a Accord aka 3g, even if you do sell it, take my word you will look for another one, once you buy one you are hooked on them, they are very reliable cars if you care for them, good luck!
