Was wondering if anyone could help me find a web site that offers good catback systems for an 89 accord LX? I havent been able to find much more than pacesetter exhaust and i really dont like the look or sound it gives you?

dont know where you live but if you dont have smog: stock header, 2 resonators, custom 2.25 piping from a shop and generic tip or magna flow or borla or something. that's the best you can do.

MILLENNIUM CAT-BACK PREMIUM EXHAUST SYSTEMS

Not sure if it's better... for all we know it could be a rebadged and coated pacesetter.

My setup: Pacesetter header, 2-2.5" adapter and 2 glasspack's. It sounds good, and its straight pipe still. Not loud at all

My setup, not on yet

2.25" Piping, 2.25" resonator (instead of cat), magnaflow 2.25" in/out straight thru muffler, street series (not cannon)

Stock exhaust goes manifold, j-pipe, flex pipe, resinator, cat, muffler....BTW I have pace setter header, 2 1/4 hi flo cat, resinator, custom 2 1/4 mandrel bent pipe, and 2 1/4 2x3" tip e-bay muffler :rice: loud as FUK!! need to get a magnaflow...:)

the cat comes before the resonator.

i was thinking of running mine out to the rear driverside door near the tire with 2 45 degree bends and some heat shielding between the pipe and the floor with a muffler in place of my cat
a nice almost straight pipe setup.

i have 2.5 in piping from the stock header, high flow soon to be no cat... to a flowmaster. nice growl at 3000 rpm, still screams at 5000:)

so 87_hatch would you say that the mod's you did to your exhaust are enough not to need a header?

id say his piping is probably too big, especially without a header. no exhaust velocity at all. hes probably experiencing a loss of power.

my exaust works fine, no loss of power. i think that its fine personally:tongue: .
its ONE pipe comin from the header, 4-1
And yes i think that i will not get a header... unless its a turbo manifold.
