Hey!

My Accord is finally going to be back on the road! I just ordered a salvaged engine w/ under 90k on it, after the rear differential locked up on my BMW. However, the Accord's engine "went" 3 years ago, and the car hasn't been moved for 2 years. What sort of stuff should I have replaced while the engine is out? (already planning to convert to R-134)

Any special hoses, or anything that typically fail? Also, will I need a new air compressor after it hasn't been run for 2 years?

Thanks for any advice!

Wes

Look at your motor mounts, see if their oil soaked & "rubber like". If they are, replace them.
Timing belt & tensioner
Oil pan gasket
Valve cover gasket (if needed)
Exhaust manifold gasket
Water pump & thermostat
Intake gasket if the head is off
Any hoses that look old & brittle
Edit- of corse the air, oil, & fuel filters
