i maybe wrong but wouldn't that be the brake booster for the master cylinder, i do know that they are round like that. and its not fuel injected its carbed.

No his car is RHD so the Brake booster is on the left side of the pic on the firewall.

The vacuum boost and master cylinder are on the left side - right where they'd be on a North American car but on the opposite side.
