Does anybody think this filter would fit my 89 LX carb

It would fit if you made a hole in the hood. :)


That is just the lid so you'll need the actual filter to match... those are about 2" tall I think.
If you don't want to cut a hole then the problem is the height... the height near the valve cover is more critical then the height near the firewall. you don't have much room to lower a custom filter pan because of the vacuum lines and such.

Get some carb board and try and make a mock filter up using the lowest round filter specifications and then close the hood and see where the carbboard gets crunched... be careful though not to break anything.
If they make a 1" filter I think you can get it to work.

Thats not the entire filter though, you need the other round filter to go with it.
that is just the cover for the filter turned into a filter.

Yeah im starting to see that it would be a bit of a homemade deal that I don't think i wanna get into, unless someone can convince me otherwise.:slap:
