burned cd issue

on my 99 honda accord i cant play my burned cds for some reason..it plays the stuff i bought at stores, but not hte copies i made...
does it have to do anything with the cds itself or its some other crap..
need help porfavor

Some early head units and dvd players were purposely built to not allow the playing of burnt CD-R's. Its not a Sony is it? They were the main offenders.

did you finalize the cd? alot of head units dont play cds that arent finalized. or in mp3 format.

yeah i know if you dont close a CD properly it sometimes wont play. i dont know which HU you have in your accord. in my '02 accord it plays CD-R's, but not MP3 formatted CDs. in my 3gee, my HU plays whatever you throw at it pretty much. thats why i bought that one.
