Hi,

I've developed a noticeable pulsing in my steering wheel at very low speeds, getting a little faster as I speed up, and going away altogether above say 40 mph. I'll take the PS belt off this weekend and see whether it goes away.

If it does, anyone know know how to tell if the problem is with the PS pump or the rack?

Thanks,

Joe Beets

I wouldnt say its the pump or the rack, could be a loose suspension part, wheel bearings or even a lose wheel. Check everything else out

My bet is not the steering system. more like a wheel, brake rotor, out of round or out of balance.

Good to know. I don't want it to be the steering, that's for sure. Will investigate.
