I need to put the other seat in, but there's too much football on lately. 4 point harness installation was really easy, anyone interested in a how to on brackets or harnesses?

I like that Seat, how much for a pair of those?

$220 each for the seat...plus $40 each for the sliders...so they were exactly $500, then the harnesses I found for $110 for both, which is a pretty good deal. Sparco harnesses are exactly the same and they're $220 a pair. Everything came to $620 w/materials for brackets.

please dont tell me those harness are mounted to the floor?!

go to www.apexperformance.net (http://www.apexperformance.net/cartgenie/prodList.asp?scat=211) and buy some schroth harnesses... they are able to mount to the rear upper seatbelt mount point, and they will break away in the result of a crash. meaning if you roll your car, the harness will give, and it wont force your head to be pointing straight up when you crash, which will snap your neck instantly paralyzing or killing you. the schroth harness will give, acting more like a normal seatbelt, and allow your body to get out of the way.

its very unsafe to use any type of harness (other than a breakaway style like schroth) unless you have a roll cage. and its even more dangerous to have the harness mounted to the floor, because if the belts snug up during a crash, they will compress your spine, which is also not ideal. the best place to mount a harness is even with your shoulders, maybe an inch or two below, but not much more.

seriously i know its $$$ to buy another harness, but if you get into an accident, you will thank me.

schroth harnesses come OEM in some bmw's over seas, they are really really nice quality and safe belts to run!

ps, if your harness ARE breakaway harnesses, or if they are mounted properly, then props to you, and hopefully somebody reading this will remember it if they do get a harness setup.

These can mount to the rear seat belt mounts too. The installation said either way. In our accords, there are pre drilled/threaded holes that the eyelets screwed right into. I'll take some pictures.
