Soo, you might remember my last thread, my timing belt slipped off. There was a huge debate, It's still going in different threads. I'm pretty sure it's still being debated. I guess if I fix it it will prove whether it's a non-interferance or interferance engine. as I was stupid enough to try and start the engine with a completley snaped timing belt. I finally found time to work on it. Anyway,

This is a problem, Because the white line that marks TDC on the flywheel is gone. I had my friend mark the flywheel with some wd-40, and we turned it all the way around, no line. I dont know what to do. How can I set the engine to TDC without the mark?

Pull the number one plug out, and get a long nail, or thick wire and hold it into the plug hole, and turn the motor over, and wait for the cylender to come to the top, and adjust it till its at the top.

The white mark might be gone, but the "T" is stamped into the flywheel. I put some white-out on it, so I could see it better. If you look at the keyway on the crankshaft spline that the crank pulley bolts on. The keyway should point at 12' O'clock.

Or you can simply remove your distributor cap (mark the Cylinder 1 wire position on the distributor body) and turn the motor over until the rotor points toward the mark you made. Hope this helps.

The distrubuto is bound to the cammshaft, not the crank, so that doesn't help...
