Craftsman has this "Bolt-Out" removal set. I think Gator grip isn't worth a damn... Try to spray some WD-40 near the threads & tighten real good with the vise grips.
Try to put a 6 point socket on it too. Of corse repace the bolt once you remove it.

well you can try tapping the next size smaller socket on it or any socket that will grab for that matter.

Vise grips is always an option.Shinch them on there and just buy another nut cuz its prolly ate up pretty bad.

If you have the top adjutser stuff all off you might take the alt. and move it up and down and try to loosen the bolt some also. Kinda like a polish way to undo a screw but it works sometimes.

The last thing is just cut it and get a whole new bolt. id just try cutting it half under the alt. body.

those tools are only sold in america though arent they? do they sell sears craftsman tool in europe? i'd just drill that bastard out and order a new bolt or get one from the junk yard.

yeah, i searched a gator grip on trademe, and WD-40, none here :(
oh and getting a new bolt is no problem, we got a box of em in the garage, and if none of em fit, ill just jam a screw driver in there till i do find a good one.

get a 6 pt socket. 12 pt sockets are useless for other than 12 pt fasteners
