wierd problem,I've been having problems with the flange at the bottom of the exaust manifold, I had stripped out a stud and haven't been able to pull the manifold and take it to the machine shop yet, but it keeps blowing out exaust gaskets there due to the uneven pressure on the gasket, when it blows out a gasket of course i have idle problems, but it also causes me to lose oil pressure,i'm not sure if this is due to exaust gasses leaking on the oil pan and heating up the oil, or it's causing the cyl head to be hotter due to improper scavenging. as soon as i replace a gasket it idles fine and the oil pressure goes back up. anyone ever heard of this before? it's not overheating, and i'm only losing about ten psi pressure, i'm thinking of having to vice grip it until i can get that manifold fixed.

Vice grips are expensive for that... Use a C-Clamp! I've never heard of such a thing... probably is the extra heat...
