Dude people seriously need to search, this has already been answered. I'm making a plus sizing thread just for this. The size is 205-40-17.

It's a sticky!!! You lazy SOB. :Owned2:

Maybe Tirerack as an internet seller, but I get my tires at Costco. Costco uses nitrogen, they hand-torque you rims to factory-spec, and their price is pretty cheap. Right now it's $60 off any 4 Michelins/Goodyear tires here.

I bought 4 tires a few days ago.

Peace.

Whatever!... It is a tire brand that has been widely popular in england for years and is now bringing them to the US... They aren't quite as good as my Falkens but they can definitely hold their own.

I dont see why 215 wont fit, maybe rub a little more, but you take that risk with 17's+ anyways over bumps.

215/45R17's are almost 6% too big, they will probably rub alot, depending on offset. Also by moving more mass farther away from the axis of rotation you are putting more stress on suspension components. In addition, the extra mass requires extra torque to stop; this means better brakes in order to be safe.

As for taking a risk running 17's, that's bull. With the right offset wheel, and the correct size tire it is only a 6mm difference. Just do it right. Keep the overall diameter as close as possible. I dont see why you need a 215/45R17 or would want to run them. They cost more, and are heavier. There is tons of options out there for 205/40R17's, just stick with them.
