OK I did some thinking...no research yet. I know people are working on putting civic suspension into 3g's, but what about 2g, or 3g teg's?? They are about the same size, wheel base, and weight, and are allready sort of a performance model, so why not use their suspension??? I'm looking for stock shocks struts and springs for 2g or 3g teg, if anybody has some laying around that they want to get rid of so I can mod them up, and see what has to be done to get them to fit, let me know. I will keep every body posted on my progress, hopefully its not a dead end.... If their are links to the same topic please post them for my reference. I hope to have this done by summer, remembering HOPE!

Civics and Integras are built on the same chassis. Therefore, they are the same suspension.

Sorry bud but your wrong, the civics, and tegs use different suspension... look it up....

But back to my project.... I have located both sets for 200, if anybody know where I can get them cheaper drop me line.

you'd probably want to look for the 1st and 2nd gens, not 3rd, right?

No.... G1 tegs use torsion bars for the front. They use the same suspension as civics, and CRX. I'm going with the 2g, and 3g for this reason, and I'm vearing away from civic due to the fact that its not a factory performance car, and the weight of a civic is a lot different. The closest match is the tegs, and the closest suspesion match is the 2&3G tegs...I'll keep everyone posted. I really hop I can open up more suspension mods for our cars.....You know what pisses me off about tokicos... The illuminas they make them for 86-89 Tegs, but not 3g accords...WTF!!! Stupid SOB's I even called them and asked for a custom set of I'lluminas for 3g accord, but that aint happening.

The 84-87 Civic has the same suspension as a 86-89 Integra
The 88-91 Civic has the same suspension as a 90-93 Integra
The 92-95 Civic has the same suspension as the 94-2000 Integra

The only difference is in the spring rates of the different models (sedan, hatch, Integra, etc)

The truts are the SAME and the spring dimensions are virtually the same.

Ohhhh really I dont think so..... Check the numbers on the shocks and struts....they dont match, Even ask Honda they are different. But you are right with the G1 tegs....

Part # 88-91 civic 2797,2798, 2847
Part# 90-93 Teg 2851, 2852, 2863
PArt numbers are Tokico....I have the others if you'd like....sorry to prove you wrong MOD.....

The par numbers at Honda don't mean anything. The B20B valve cover gasket is the same as the B28B valve cover gasket but htey have different part numbers. One is for Acura and costs more... that's it.

Same thing goes for MANY other parts.

If I put 2 struts before you , you wouldn't be able to tell if it's from a teg or a civic.

Like I said, the springs are different because if the spring rate but the part itself is the same visually.

Tein lists the same coilover kit for both cars.

This means that if peopel are working on civic suspensions on their car, they are also working for integra suspensions since it's the same.

OK not really....I didn't list HONDA numbers, those are TOKICO numbers, I even called a HONDA only wrecking yard that I work with all the time and they told me they are different....I think he knows, and so does Honda and Tokico......

I know, tough with these big squirrel nuts, some may thing otherwise :D (j/k)

However, I have a 97 Integra suspension on my 94 Civic without a problem. My friend upgraded his integra with Koni reds and Neuspeed springs *basicaly the ame setup I have on the Accord hehe) and just gave me those. What's different is the 96+ Civics. They have the ame design but the strut length isn't the same so everything is screwed.

I'll try to take pictures of some struts I have here nd measure them. Maybe I'm totaly wrong. If I can learn something out of this I'll be more than glad you did correct me.

it would be super nice if there was an ongoing list of stuff that will work for our cars

like

suspensions
wheels/tires
intakes
engine internals
brakes

you know things like that

Maybe look on craigslist.com for some stuff. This post may be a little late.

Just because the numbers don't match, it doesn't matter they won't fit. Did you consider that those struts would have different stiffness for civic or teg?

A lot of people swapped suspensions between cars and you can find all that info on the internet.

I've allready put Integra suspension on my car :-) I had to change the strut tower mount and the fork at the bottom of the strut on all 4 corners but the springs and struts are from a 91 Integra.
