what's with people wanting CF sheetmetal parts like fenders? the CF ends up weighing more, and looking like crap.

i liked the sheetmetal cutouts that 3gnlxi made, those looked pretty good, positioned better.

Hate to sound retarded but what does OEM mean?

Not retarded - Original Equipment Manufacturer.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that those "shark gills" even look bad on a Z3! Yuck.

Why thank you.:) Thats why I did my own, because I didn't like where they put em on the glass ones.
And the fit is way better.

Did they need any modifications ? Or did they line up like our stock fenders? I have some BTW. Way lighter than the stock fenders.

The shipping is worth it. Mine came well packaged. With the fenders being made out of fiberglass they are easily damaged. I've seen some companies wanting $250 plus shipping for them.

They didn't require much work as long as you know what your doing, all you really have to do is line up the fender, drill holes and bolt it up. The hardest part for me was drilling the holes for the corner light mounts because they are square, but just use a dremel and you will be fine.

Ok sounds good. Someone told me that they might need some refiberglassing to get them to fit, but if they line up just like the stock ones then thats not too bad.

just get the most realistic carbon fiber wrap you can find. wrap your OEM fenders with it then apply a few layers of clear coat to seal the deal and make it look like legit CF.
