Okay so i've seen on other boards, DIY amber clock, and i found a site about it, did the JDM accords have amber clocks also?

Even if they did It would be alot easier to just make your own rather than getting a JDM one shipped over. (and cheaper)

no, the clock displays themselves are blue. i may find an amber display and solder one in place. if i can make that work, i might make them to order.

our clocks don't have bulbs.... just a little screen that's not removable from the little board.

i'd rather try and rewire one from maybe a civic or some other car that has a bulb.

i meant the gauges, what makes the gauges light up green?

both the backlights AND the guage faces themselves are what give our guages the green color.

k i took my gauges out yesterday to wire up the shift light, (:eek5: it works:eek5: )
but anyways i saw those two little bulbs at the top of the cluster, i removed em, and they have clear glass... so is it a film inside the cluster that turns em green?

Why do you guys like amber? It looks old and crappy and yellowed. I like the blue green. It's hip. :)

Amber, well actually red, is the best color to use for interior lights at night... its the easiest for your eyes to adjust to...

Sure. But all that is negated by the huge glaring swath of white light in front of you from your headlights, and any oncoming cars. If you're using your car for stakeouts in the middle of nowhere where you won't be driving and just sitting somewhere without traffic, I'll buy it. But honestly, this seems like something you guys want to change just because it'd be different, not better. I promise you if you go to a pontiac or neon or almost any domestic forum with amber lighting you'll find people complaining about the yellowish 'lame' light trying to get it green. Heck, even mitsu galant VR4 owners, with their switchable amber to green illumination have even complained that it isn't blue. Oh well. At least the new mustang got it right with infinitely adjustable interior colors. :)
