I've got a manual 89 DX, and it's got a mystery leak that i can't find...
it leaks pretty significantly... doesn't pour... but it's somewhere between a drip and a stream.
It did this about 2 weeks ago... once. i refilled the radiator and it didn't leak anymore until yesterday.

are there any heater hoses near the pulleys? I can only see where the water's roughly coming from based on where i can see it dripping onto the ground.

Is there anything else in that area that might also be responsible?

You mean near the water pump pully?

Are you sure your water pump bearing isn't leaking?

Also there is a coolant pipe that runs behind the motor, above the oil filter, below the intake manifold.

From that pipe there are a few hoses that run to the intake manifold & carb.

I would have to say that it is coming from your water pump. Could be a bad gasket or could be the beginings of the water pump failing.
