Pipe on the head?

What thread pitch is that pipe from the heater core, on the head? Seems to be between 1/2" and 3/8" NPT? :wtf:

Is it threaded in? I forget. I sealed my port off.

Yes, it is threaded... ridiculously fine threaded, too. Approx same size as a 5/8" bolt, but EXTREMELY fine thread.

How'd you seal yours off? It's just for the heater core, right?

I think it was. :) if not oh well.

I mashed the pipe. :) then welded the seam. I might try to dig it out and retap the threads for a copper or brass pipe cap fitting to go in it's place.

I have a feeling I'm going to have to cut new threads in the head, 1/2" NPT. :( Or see if I can find a pipe at the local u-pull-it

i have one..... ill see if i can get it off.
i got an LXI motor sitting in storage wasting space. the pipe is on it and ill see if i cant get it off for you. how about 5 bucks plus shipping? ill mail it so itll be like a dollar or so. yea i was just sittin here thinking...why did mike weld the pipe shut? sux to not have heat! but then i realized you lived in hawaii. never gets cold!

I might take you up on that.. hitting the u-pull-it first thing in the AM to see about getting one :)
