so which would provide the most power? the flipped lid or somekinda intake running into the fender, i removed the inner silencer inside the fender, now if i can get ahold of a stock intake tube from another carbed accord then i can hook that back up and i will be getting even more air plus it will be colder

look on old integras... the 2-doors with the flip ups... they have a long intake pipe that runs from the TB all the way to the battery then to the drivers side headlight.... it's a pretty cool way for honda to rig that up so it could get cold air, and less restriction then how the carbed accords had it going to the fender well.

ok when puting a intake on the carbed accord what do you do with the hose that runs from the exhaust manifold to the stock cold air intake

i meant the tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the intake in response to h22. i just flat out lost the other piece.

I wouldn't screw with factory CAI, especially from a motor that is smaller than ours is to begin with, make a CAI that sucks air from behind the firewall (where the wiper hardware is) that yielded my best results.

yeah that causes a pressurerized atomosphere in the airbox. its like cowl induction. i was goin to do that but i didnt want to cut up the firewall. do you have a picture of it anywhere?

take the lid of the air filter for the carb off... take the grommets off from around the hole for the screw... flip it over and put it back on... that way unrestrected air can flow into the carb... we dont have this in the How-to by now???

nah, i checked..or at least skimmed though it, its a really long and comprehensive how-to section. Not that thats a bad thing

Where is the silencer in the stock intake pipe in the fender? I checked mine out and couldn't find a silensor. But I think CAI would be a lot better than a flipped air lid.

so do they make turbos for carbs now cause i just read the newest mag for vw trends and it said that they make them for v dubs now so is there something out there for us and what exactly will the flipped air lid do will it produce more hp or what? also can i see pic of a flipped air lid
