I've got some H4 conversions on my car, but the little bluish bulbs it came with just aren't enough. What's the brightest bulbs you guys have found so far? I mean I want something rediculous, so that I can see everything out there, lol.

But for most at $79 a set and around a years worth of use isnt worth it.

I'll second that. Anything higher than the standard 55/60 wattages are not proportionally brighter and have much shorter life spans. I posted a Consumer Reports article from this year where they found that a lot of the "performance" bulbs were worse than OEM.

For the money I am sticking with my long life Hella H4 bulbs at $8 each. The standard Hella H4's are $4 each. The Silverstars I bought were nice color, but one burned out after less than two years.

I like my H4's way brighter than stock. And for the price you will pay for the Raybrig's you can get some nice fog lights. They will give you the extra light you need.

just get HIDs, you won't ever come back to halogens.

SilverStars are good for the money. Much brighter then the cheap(er) ones but have a longer life span then the superbright ones.

HID is the way to go if you want to put out the money and time.

if you guys read about the Raybrig thread I made, alex (sherpherd79) had the bulbs for 3 years. That's alot to say for an aftermarket bulb. I had mine for about 6months so far.

Raybrigs are the best H4s out there. A little on the pricier side but it sure beats those blue tinted ebay special bulbs that go out every 2 months (exaggeration but you get the point).

Silverstars are the best bang for buck, but if you really want the best H4 halogen bulb, it is the Raybrig hands down.

ALSO FOR THOSE WHO ARE SAYING HIGH WATTAGE BULBS DIE FASTER:

the Raybrig is a 55w bulb that emmits like a 120w bulb. :)

+you really get what you pay for with these bulbs.
Make sure you get nice housings for them so you don't have f'ed up cutoffs and glare.
My Autopal's are Hella knockoffs, but they're so much better then the eBay crappers.
Just get mad dirty fast. Almost have to clean them daily. It's worth it.

by dirty you mean the front lense?

or do you mean the inside of the housing?

I never had a problem with my Hella Housings leaking or anything so it was great as well as crystal clear!
