Temp Guage NOT Working

Temp guage not working checked all possible issues fans come on when they should thermostat opens when it should and replaced plung in engine where it hooks to. When i hook it up to the plug it peaks all the way out. Oh yeah even replaced the guage.

Follow the wiring, sounds like it may be a short if its pegging all the way.

Change the temp sender and see if that does it.

I did change the temp sender same thing ill try to follow the wire and see what i can find i thhhhink the wire is black with a yellow strip right.

Edit- After looking at this thread again. I will agree that is the temp. sensor, since it does it only when plugged in. Didn't look close enough at the problem.

if it peaks out when he plugs it in to the temp sender, he does not have a wiring problem. A wiring problem would show up whether it's plugged in or not. I suspect it's the temp sender. Replace it again. Mine did the same thing and the temp sender was bad.
